Users review: I attended a preview of this in London.If enjoy before Richard Curtis (writer, director) films as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually when you will most likely enjoy this lake the time-travel comedy drama albeit with a deprecating sense of time travel feeling of having been here before.But for more of the same feeling is not so ; Resistant things, thanks to the wonderful performance of the votes and more importantly, the excellent performance of the new attraction, the time traveling plot. In fact, the time to travel here is really good fun and plentiful as their employed with typical motifs, but with the invention of our protagonist, a stereotypical lose the game with complete charm and goofiness of Domhall Gleeson. His use of force is sometimes hilarious, but very useful, but your typical change your past will beat hill moral message. In most time travel movies, change the events of the past usually painted as a negative repercussion, but here, for the most part, the film is really promoting his current; advantages. The time travel premise has some set rules that nicely serves the story, even if you think too tæti some scenes you can find some minute errors in the execution of cause and effect, that could have been nicer if the extra attention was paid. It is a moral message, but you must wait until the end to get what it is because it is not so obvious as the film rolls. You might suspect that things will be done on certain way, as you look at movies, but they can not, and you may be wondering, what's the story but let it roll and the meaning of it all will end. But wait until the end leads to my first bit of criticism. This movie clocks in just over 2 hours and it felt a bit too long. There are quite a few points in the film, which I think could have been trimmed. I think it might have been at least 10 minutes shorter.There feel stalwart faces from Richard Curtis previous films make cameos with always great Bill Nighy correct anchoring a support djande role with his usual high caliber presence. Its also nice to see one of our great British character actor who had recently passed away making a surprise and funny bit part appearance perhaps for the last time ... or did the filmmakers travel back in time to shooting his part? Rachel McAdams is very beautiful as the love interest and is believable as a girl worth manipulate time. Im not a big fan of Richard Curtis previous films, but this film is swimming with so much charm, English middle class quirks, a lovely romance and a mild stimulation flowing at a steady pace from start to finish. This is not a chaotic comedy, it's not a thriller or an adventure or a movie that pulls no tension on the last act. It is a journey through a period of our time-traveling life, sometimes funny, charming, moving with a very smart and friendly time travel premise. Its really a great day film too.8/10
