Users review: To see the original How to Train Your Dragon for the first time made me feel like a kid again, and became one of my favorite movies of all time, so when I got a chance to see this I was very worried as I was excited. In the past, some of the most anticipated films proved to be the biggest disappointment (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - to mention only the worst), so I took a deep breath and tried to reduce my expectations go in. The film, which premiered at Cannes (but runs out of competition), has a long history of being over-hyped and quite as mixed, to say the least (again: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull )? but it really need not have feared the competition. Im happy to say that Dean DeBlois designed beautifully animated story, which loses some of its predecessors sense of fun and adventure, while increasing Hiccup and Toothless travel in a nutrient classic rock - and unexpected touches - coming-of-age story.While colorful, playful and visually all (I mean that in a good way), tone-Men sequel is noticeably darker and more mature themes are prevalent. The authors have made some (for Hollywood movies) unusually bold decisions INA had Hiccup is very harsh realities of life; especially that of the danger of over-humanization of pets and animals forget their nature. Small children were probably better stay away when the film is also quite a bit more scary than the original. That's not saying that there is a lot of humor? but jokes Jonah Hill & Co. will certainly be missed very young and clearly aimed at older children and teenagers. * A word about the animation: This animation film is one of the most visually stunning I've ever seen; the times that are so very eye-opening performance at the screen not knowing where to focus - it certainly needs another general verdict viewing.My: Although the story may not be as simple as original, well-written, believable character development and beautiful graphics are more than satisfactory. How to Train Your Dragon 2 could have played safe by simply repeating the original formula? Instead it opted for introducing new interesting characters while giving them, know more backstory and a chance to grow and explore new territories. I would say the next day with the past, this is one of the best sequels Hollywood has produced in a very long time. 9 out of 10 (with option rights 10 time Ive seen again) Favorite movies:.
